Creating an Outer Space Galaxy in Adobe Photoshop
In this two 1 hour session workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of file formats, image resolution, and tools of Adobe Photoshop while creating their own outer space galaxy.

Beginner Level
In this two hour workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of file formats (.gif, .png, .jpg, .pdf etc.), resolution types for various outcomes. i.e. (Social Media Banner, ads, website image, or print material). Students will also learn the difference between vector images vs. pixel images and when and where to use each type. Lastly students, will learn the tools and interface of Adobe Photoshop. Students will will understand proper use of image sizes, file formats, and resolution and apply this knowledge to a final Adobe Photoshop document. Students will create an outer space galaxy using the proper resolution, format, and appropriate tools in Adobe Photoshop.
I am a veteran teacher in Digital Media and Marketing for over 15 years. I have taught at The Art Institute of Tucson as an adjunct. I ran the School News Program and Peoria Student Broadcast while running the school FBLA, Skills USA, and DECA at both schools I taught at over the 15 years of my career. I also own and operate a Web Design and Digital Marketing Agency for small businesses. I have a Bachelors in Technology Education from The University of Northern Iowa and an MBA from The University of Phoenix.
Homework Offered
Students will get to work on the outer space galaxy on their own time and bring any questions back to workshop #2 in order to better understand and complete the assignment.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will receive a certificate of achievement after completing their final outer space galaxy image.Grades Offered
I will provide a pdf with the step by step instructions of our outer space galaxy lesson.
