Are you looking for a way to get your child writing? Does your child also enjoy making crafts? If so, this is the perfect class! Our class will focus on snowman and snow - a perfect class for January! Class will start with an introduction of names and a question of the day. We will then talk about snow and what snowflakes are made of and look like. We will examine some pictures of snowflakes and discuss what we notice about them. Students will learn scientific information about snow and snowflakes. Students will use direction following skills while making their melted snowman. Students will demonstrate proper use of craft materials: paint, construction paper, scissors, glue, pencil. Students will demonstrate writing skills while finishing their snowman sentence and communication skills while showing their finished snowman product to classmates.
