This class is taught in English.
I am a highly experienced and actively certified English Language Arts teacher, certified School Library Media Technology Specialist (PreK-12th grade), certified TVI, homeschool educator, and an avid Minecraft gamer. I also have a Master of Science: Curriculum and Instruction VI degree and have a Minecraft Education Edition certification. I am also published poet who has facilitated writing workshops for students as well as adults. I am a previous recipient of multiple annual grants to lead young writers to publish their own books of creative writing. I continuously seek to be inclusive and empowering towards every learner in every class.
Homework Offered
Learners will be invited and not pressured or required to create a Minecraft poem using the educator provided from our asynchronous lesson. Learners are welcome to follow their own muse as well and forego my format. Posts to the classroom via text, video recording, image, or audio file are welcomed. Inclusivity is key. Specific, positive feedback will be promptly provided. Descriptive details are the focus of this course and not any adherence to punctuation, spelling, or grammar.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
