In this 4 week Multi-day class. Learners will learn the basics of coding with Python turtle and create fun hands-on activities on the programme.
Class Experience
This dynamic course is designed to provide an in-depth exploration into the world of algorithms. Students will practice designing advanced algorithms and managing projects through the creation of three mini-projects using Python Turtle. This course is ideal for those who have a basic understanding of Python Turtle but no prior knowledge can also be guided through. Throughout this course, students will gain hands-on experience with a variety of key programming concepts, including branching...
In this course, students will: Gain a deep understanding of the Python Turtle module and its application in creating graphics. Learn to apply advanced algorithms in their code to solve complex problems. Understand the use of loops for repetitive tasks and the random module to add randomness to their projects. Learn to define and use functions to create reusable blocks of code, enhancing the efficiency of their programs. Acquire skills to debug and improve their code, focusing on problem-solving and critical thinking. Learn to create interactive user experiences using the onkey function in Python Turtle. Complete three mini-projects that reinforce their learning and provide practical experience. Develop project management skills, taking a project from concept to final product.

Homework Offered
After each lesson, students will be assigned individual homework based on the study guide provided. This includes reviewing the complete code from the lesson, reading explanations to reinforce their understanding of the code, and tackling bonus tasks that challenge them to apply their new knowledge. These tasks are designed to be done individually, promoting independent thinking and problem- solving skills. On average, students can expect to spend about 1-2 hours on homework each week, depending on their pace and the complexity of the bonus tasks. No extensive reading is required, as the focus will be on understanding and applying coding concepts. However, students are encouraged to go through the explanations in the study guide thoroughly to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the lesson.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
