Class Experience
In this live meeting learners will have an opportunity to read an article about Christmas traditions on the island of Puerto Rico. They will also get a chance to interview the teacher who is a native of Puerto Rico and lived there for over 25 years. Students will learn key Spanish words related to the culture and celebrations. They will explore details about various traditions that the island has for celebrating the holiday season. We will have open dialogue, reading time, written questions...

Maestra Zia is a native of Puerto Rico. She was born on the island to Puerto Rican parents and lived there for over 25 years. SHe has two degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. She and her Puerto Rican husband carry on these Puerto Rican traditions with their son even though they now live in the near Washington DC.
