Students will learn expert tips for building a campfire
I am a Certified Wilderness First Responder through the company Remote Medical Training. This has certified me to address medical emergencies in remote settings. I've taught wilderness survival to hundreds of kids since 2015. I've led wilderness survival/bushcraft camps with the company Coyle Outside in Oregon. I've guided wilderness backpacking and canoe trips through Camp Kooch-I-Ching in Minnesota.

Fire safety is fundamental to learning this skill. We will cover helpful habits for safe fire-tending. We will not be starting any fires in class. Learners are advised to practice fire-making with the guidance of an adult.
