Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Discover the fascinating world of art as we learn about a new artist or art movement each week! In this dynamic class, young artists will learn about influential artists throughout history and create a work of art inspired by the week’s subject. Lessons include Color Theory with Josef and Anni Albers, Portraiture with Frida Kahlo, and Paper Lamps with Isamu Noguchi. Mediums covered include watercolor, drawing, sculpture, basket-making, kinetic art, and more. Unleash your imagination,...
Students will learn about art history and connect what they learn to a hands-on activity creating artwork. Students will discover new art materials and techniques and be able to relate that to artists from the past.
Teresa Audet has a Master of Fine Arts degree and is a certified substitute art teacher in Pennsylvania. She teaches art history through art projects to young artists in her weekly art classes at the library, and in the past to college students and adult learners all over the country.
