Students will improve their writing skills! By the end of this course, they will be able to write a five-paragraph argumentative essay independently. 

I am certified to teach ELA (English language Arts) and ESL (English as a Second Language). My certification for ELS is for grades 4-8. My certification for ESL is for Pre-K-12th grade.

I have taught ELA and ESL for six years. Through teaching both of these subjects, I have taught students Writing skills, and I have seen great results.

Homework Offered
Students will complete any unfinished work as homework. I may also assign a piece of writing for students to write independently, so I can score it, provide feedback, and give students the opportunity to revise and edit their work. 
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will use a writing rubric to score students' writing. I will give them a score based on the rubric for each essay they write. I will provide feedback for how they can improve based on the rubric.
Grades Offered

We will refer to the argumentative essay writing unit that I have created for middle school essay writing classes.
