Homeschooling is a community effort! Let this be a class that reviews old topics, fills in learning gaps from previous school years for older students, and challenges the younger students with new topics! Students will improve their knowledge in all core subjects, math, ELA, science, and history.
I am 3 weeks away from having my bachelor's in creative writing, and a second degree in child psychology. I have homeschooled my own kids up through high school covering these exact same subjects. Plus, I just really love teaching!
Homework Offered
Homework will consist of reading material and each student will have an online homework portal where there will be game reviews and virtual worksheets.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Nothing is needed, all materials and log-in information are given in class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
YouTube videos, Education.com, ABCya.com, whiteboard.fi, and IXL.com are used in class. Also, we will be reading from the "Everything You Need to Ace World History in One Big Fat Notebook" textbook (a copy can be purchased from Amazon, but is not needed since students will also have access to pages on screen share during class.)
This class offers a multidisciplinary viewpoint on historical events, we will look at these topics from multiple viewpoints such as the economic, environmental, and social impacts to help students be as well-informed as possible. YouTube videos, Education.com, ABCya.com, whiteboard.fi, and IXL.com are used in class. Also, we will be reading from the "Everything You Need to Ace World History in One Big Fat Notebook" textbook (a copy can be purchased from Amazon, but is not needed since students will also have access to pages on screen share during class.) History course is taught using the mentioned above textbook, videos from Learn Bright, and Homeschool Pop on YouTube. Science will taught from a secular viewpoint from the highly recommended Evan-Moor curriculum books and supplemented with video instruction from Learn Bright and Rock n Learn to encourage multiple learning styles.
