As your student reads out loud I will be actively supporting by listening for pronunciation (correcting as needed), verifying knowledge of vocabulary words (explaining as needed as well as providing visuals when possible), double checking their reading comprehension, as well as providing lots of positive feedback to fuel both their confidence and continued reading. Aside from a bachelor’s in psychology, I also hold a TEFL certificate. I have a lot of experience working with children around the world as I used to teach ESL online for many years. I'm also a homeschooling parent of three (one of which has special needs), so I'm very patient and understanding to the individual needs of each student.
