In this course, students will be given problems to practice either identifying similar figures, dilating figures, or finding the scale factor of similar figures.

Class Experience

US Grade 8

In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to either identify similar shapes, dilate shapes, or find the scale factor of similar shapes. Similar shapes are those that consist of the same number of sides and angle measures, but have proportional side lengths to each other. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class.
