I have taught elementary reading in classrooms ranging from preschool to fifth grade for fourteen years and am specially trained in reading recovery and teaching children with a varying level of special needs.

Homework Offered
At the conclusion of each session, I will provide students with a short practice exercise. These can be as simple and hands-on as keeping a log of things around them to discuss at our next meeting to a worksheet to practice new skills. These assignments will be something the learner to complete independently and should never take more than 20 minutes.

Assessments Offered
I will communicate assessment results with parents on a biweekly basis. Some assessments will be mere observation of the skills learned, while others will be a more formal test to see if your child is making progress.
